Grace Kelly—white-gloved ingénue, elegant goddess—Christian Dior celebrated the beloved style icon and 1950’s Hollywood glamour at their S/S 2012 show in the beautiful gardens of the Rodin Museum. Bill Gaytten and his team presented a collection that was feminine, lovely and polished.
Whimsical dresses in tulle, organza and silk adorned the runway. Fresh and flirty silhouettes mixed with mosaic prints and graphic black and white revealed a sophisticated yet lighthearted demeanor. Paying tribute to some classic Dior silhouettes, modernized 1950’s style jackets cinched in at the waist were paired with classic skirts. Vibrant reds and oranges electrified the catwalk while pale neutrals gave way to a flawless elegance. Click here to watch the complete fashion show.
It was a star-studded event with the likes of Olivia Palermo from “The City,” Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester, Rachel Zoe and of course Anna Wintour.
