This season, Manish Arora found a new way to update the Paco Rabanne vision of futurism transposed in today’s world. Clear cut silhouettes with graphic, metallic contours appear styled but free of restrictions and was inspired by the 1970’s french singer Francoise Hardy. Mini metallic dresses, an edited version worn by Brigitte Bardot, and kimono sleeves with with jackets designed as supple armors are the strong signature of this collection. Seductive pant suits in cream and gold with deep v-necks were elegant, sophisticated and youthful. Leather strips and fur inserts articulate a modern calligraphy; and when the model graces the runway her clothes are stealthily in perpetual motion.
