Living ‘La Dolce Vita’ at Dolce and Gabbana, models lavishly strolled the runway in luxurious lace and layers of tulle materials fashioned in a floral motif and cherub prints. The dynamic duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana aptly named their collection “Baroque”, emulating Sicilian fashion from decor to runway.
Elegant and romantic, the collection was arranged in a black and white palette intertwined with nudes, golds, and metallics; each dress more decadently adorned than the last with bejeweled headbands, drop earrings and statement necklaces. Deep necklines from the spring collection were replaced with ladylike high ruffles and bow-ties, and most hemlines stayed well below the knee for a truly svelte regard.
A holy line with not so holy materials, we especially loved the black lace coats, dresses, and skirtsuits embroidered in metallic gold thread.
