Nicole Farhi’s A/W 2011 collection showcased a dynamic line influenced by structured masculine shapes, voluminous silhouettes and an architectural and graphic modernity.
The colour palette was rich and sophisticated. Lustrous black, red, and oxblood illuminated the runway and shimmered throughout the show. Hints of winter white were sprinkled in adding an element of surprise.
Farhi explored various techniques in fabrication. From glossy calfskin geometric blocks in black and oxblood mounted on to jersey dresses to high-waisted tough moleskin trousers, to exposed coil zips on dresses the pieces were innovative, unique and elegant.
Lavish gold jewelry, lace-up, peep-toe boots with poker-thin metallic heels, and ubiquitous belts accessorized the stunning collection.
Our favorite looks: The high-waisted, wide-leg trousers in black or ecru moleskin, the black goatskin tunic and the open-back black jumper worn with white tights and ankle boots.
