Japanese designer Junko Shimada took to the stage on Tuesday, March 8, at Espace Pierre Cardin. The collection, powerful in its vision, showcased a chic new wardrobe that was feminine, sexy, bold, and demure.
A mix of flirty florals, Chantilly lace and luxurious fur influenced the A/W 2011 collection. The tones were smoldering in igneous pinks and yellows that cooled to nude shades. Inline with the sheer trend, Chantilly lace was used throughout accentuating a woman’s femininity. The fur and lace hoods added an element of mystique while the cheeky fluorescent pumps were that perfect pop of color and little surprise that made me smile.
