We are completely enamored with Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri‘s fall collection for Valentino, full of gorgeous gowns, jumpsuits, and ultra feminine frocks. This dynamic duo was inspired by “globetrotting” and finding one’s way, an interesting cosmopolitan concept in which we are well adversed. Native influences were incorporated in the collection with oriental aspects and ultimate western femininity, synthesizing the perfect mix between thematic and pretty. Amongst the brands signature red dresses (our favorite was adorned with scalloped edges, a knee high slit, and paired with matching red ankle-strap sandals) daytime wear also featured a large portion of the show with smart-looking capes, simple seperates, and natural waists. The after-dark outfits showcased included Victorian-inspired lace with fitted bodices, glittery gowns, refined leather, and pronounced rounded shoulders. And, as we’ve seen in many collections this season; floral embellishments are a must!
