For fall 2012, Karl Lagerfeld honed in on his younger audience in a glitter-studded and sparkled emblazoned show for Chanel. Silhouettes were loose and slouchy almost, with oversized coats, rounded shoulders, and layers upon layers galore. The hallmark of this collection were ankle-length pants that appeared on every model; on their own and under dresses, skirts, and playsuits. Textured knits and signature tweeds were in a rainbow of colors that created a playful effect that was much easier to envision a younger customer in. Nontheless, the label maintained it’s level of sophistication with signature tweed outerwear and the Chanel crossbody handbags and clutches in every hue.
