All Aboard The Louis Vuitton Express Paris to Shanghai

All aboard—next stop Shanghai—Louis Vuitton recruited Todd Selby noted photographer and fashion celebrity to set out on an adventure aboard the Louis Vuitton Express. Chronicling the launch of its first Chinese Maison in Shanghai, “The Selby” began his voyage in Paris. He boarded the same steam engine that pulled into the Cour Carrée during Paris Fashion Week featuring the A/W 2012 collection. In true choo-choo chic fashion, Selby embarked on a multi-continent journey, each day logging his experiences, impressions and thoughts. Recently leaving Moscow, on July 19, the pair will arrive at the Shanghai station, just in time to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary in China.

To celebrate the launch of the new Maison, a re-staging of the A/W 2012 fashion show will take place in Shanghai on July 19. From July 19 – August 4, Plaza 66, the new home of the Maison, will feature an exhibition documenting Todd Selby’s Paris-to-Shanghai journey.
